Stampin' Up! A Fitting Occassion & Perfect Polka Dots

Hi Everyone!

Over the next few days I will be sharing with you a few cards I have made using the stamp set - A Fitting Occassion, the In colours for 2012-2014 and various embossing folders. These are very simple cards but I just wanted to highlight the beautiful impressions the embossing folders create (and I have not had much time as been catching up on Christmas Commissions).

This card uses the colours Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green and Primrose Petals. The Embossing Folder is Perfect Polka Dots and creates beautiful crisp texture. Co-ordination punches are: Curly Label, 1" Circle and 1 1/4 Scallop Circle.

Stampin' Up! Papillon Potpourri Butterflies

Hello and Welcome!

Here I am sharing with you another one of the swap designs I made for the Stampin' Up! Convention in Manchester.

I have used the stamp set Papillon Potpourri and Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper.
The backing is Early Espresso and the Stamps and embossed Perfect Polka Dots Folder are on Whisper White. I have used Marina Mist and Melon Mambo ink.

This was very well received as lots of crafters love the pretty card ideas and many love butterflies (as do I). Swapping is one of my favourite things as it helps generate ideas and you learn to see how many different things you can make from the same product!

Stampin' Up! Season of Style with Warmth & Wonder

Hello!

Today I bring you a second version of the cute card made using Stampin' Up! Hostess Set - Warmth and Wonder.
From this set I have used the tree, dots and greeting. This makes use of the DSP - Season of Style all from the 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

The Raspberry Ripple ink on the two step stamping technique really pops with colour against the patterned background. A tiny but of ribbon in Wild Wasabi to finish.

Thanks for looking.

Stampin' Up! Postage Due Card

Good Morning!

I've been having a play with my Stampin' Up! Postage Due stamp set and decided on the colours - Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Crumb Cake. I inked the stamp in the three colours and stamped over the crumb cake rectangle - intending to leave a white box in the middle.

When I began to assemble the punched out stamps (using the Postage Stamp co-ordinating punch) I decided to keep in the rectangle as part of the design. I love these colours on Whisper White and am very pleased with the overall feel and look of this card.

Thank You Stampin' Up! Wonderfall Card

Hello & Welcome!

With the changing weather and the coldness of Autumn setting in, I decided to go with a themed card as a thank you. I used the lovely Stampin' Up! set Wonderfall and the In Colours 2012-2014 Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit.

For the leaves I inked up the stamps in two or three of the colours and stamped and cut out the different designs. I matted and layered with Summer Starfruit and Whisper White and the stamped the Thank You Greeting from the set Sassy Salutations.
This card was so much fun!

Thanks for looking.

Ghost & Frankenstein's Monster made from Stampin' Up! owl builder punch

Good Morning!
Here are two more in my cute monster experimentation. For the ghost I have just punched the owl body in whisper white, turned upside down and added googly eyes.

For my Frankenstein's Monster I punched the body in Gumball Green and the chest in Basic Black. For the hair I used punched feet and upside down hearts. I then cut out some T shapes for the bolts in the neck. Lastly I added some googly eyes for a fun aspect to the character.

Thanks for looking,
Sarah.

Cute Monster made from Stampin' Up! Owl Builder Punch

Hello! Today I bring you a cute monster as part of the "things you can make from the Owl Builder Punch" experimentation. Using the Rich Razzleberry for the body and gumball green for the chest and spikes.

The tail is the body punched again and then punched along the same edge (if that makes sense) The chest is the waist jacket trimmed down once stuck to monster. The spikes are hearts cut in half and glued along the head, body and tail. Googly eyes are essential to finish, with white gel pen to add in the teeth!

Thanks for looking,
Sarah.

Stampin' Up! Halloween Ideas using Owl Builder Punch

Good Morning!

Today I bring you two Halloween Ideas using the fabulous Owl Builder Punch which is so versatile and fun! I have just been playing with the shapes to create a few Halloween creatures for a card.

With the bat I punched out a 1-3/8" circle and used the 1" circle to create the shaped part of the wings. I added the face with the white gel pen and googly eyes.

With the monster I punched the body out in gumball green and the hearts in tangerine tango to create the fun ears. Check back to see more fun "monsters" this week.

Thanks for looking.

Stampin' Up! Season of Style DSP Christmas Tree Card

Hello and Welcome!

Here is the final instalment of my experimental session using the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack from the 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

This paper is double sided and so with the left over strips I alternated the pattern and torn each piece to create branches for my tree.

I added Gumball Green ink with a sponge to the edges to help convey the tree idea and  I added the glimmer paper decorations using the owl builder punch as I did before. I a carefree and inky way I think this card works and is a good way to use up scraps of paper strips.

Thanks for looking,
Sarah.

Stampin' Up! Tape It Christmas Tree Card

Morning Everyone!

Here is the second instalment of my experimental session using my new Stampin' Up! set - Tape It. This is a stamp set that looks like WASHI TAPE! So exciting :)

So I experimented with the stamps, Old Olive & Gumball Green ink and the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack from the 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

So my problem with before (see Tuesday's post) was the overall image did not seem tree like - as in shaped. I decided to use the scrap pieces to make a torn triangle point and taped the paper down to use as a mask. See below . . .

Once I had stamped my layers of "tape" I added the glimmer paper decorations using the owl builder punch. .

I was much happier with the overall look of the tree and decided to go a step further.

With my next card I decided to make a glimmer tree trunk using the waist coat / chest from the owl builder punch, I cut across the top to keep the lines clean.

I think this tree looks a lot nicer than the other experiments :)

Check back Saturday to see a card make with the leftover DSP scraps!
Thanks for looking,
Sarah.

Stampin' Up! Tape It Season of Style Tree

Hi and Good Morning!
This last week I have been horribly poorly and so have had an experimental session once I started to feel better.
My new Stampin' Up! set is the Tape It selection which I have wanting since the new catalogue came out. This is a stamp set that looks like WASHI TAPE! So exciting :)

So I experimented with the stamps, Old Olive & Gumball Green ink and the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack from the 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

My first card had a Sassy Salutations Greeting in Real Red and some circles and heart punched in glimmer paper using the owl builder punch.
I felt this looked cramped and messy and not very tree like.

My second card I decided to make an obvious tree trunk at the bottom and added and extra layer of "tape" - still I did not feel this seemed very tree like.

Check back on Thursday for my next lot of experimentation as this developed into something I was happier with :)
Thanks for looking,
Sarah.

Stampin' Up! Season of Style Christmas Ornament Punch Card.

Hi All!
Here is a Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack Christmas card made using the Christmas Ornament Punch from the 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter Catalogue, which is another one of the samples for my Make & Take Demo!

The Christmas Ornament Punch has a matching stamp set. (Available as a bundle where you can save 15% on the total price!!!)

I punched the ornament shape out of a card blank and the DSP, then stamped the greeting (from the sassy salutations set)  I put the DSP on the inside of the card blank and added punched small hearts for decoration.

Thanks for looking,
Sarah.
